THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION

This paper is motivated by the upcoming review of education (in future), with the factors that determine educational Indonesia later, then the act of anticipatory and adaptive proper and knowledgeable will be able to realize the achievement of educational goals. In line with the principles set out Kasmadi education (1992), should be applied in the development of an increasingly global world with a major challenge (by Pannen: 1999) added value problems and welfare, the loss of state boundaries and the dominance of science and technology in developing countries. In the meantime the difficulties faced by traditional and conventional approaches to problem solving to deliver education on the need for the use of technology in education. This paper is restricted to the use of technology in education in general, namely how utilization of technology in education.

1. Technology in Education

According to some opinions, speakers concluded Technology is the application (application) of the science that aims to meet human needs and accelerate the achievement of the objectives of each activity to be performed. While education can be interpreted in a narrow (formal) or large (formal or informal). In this case the alternative education interpreted as a conscious effort made by the family, society and government through guidance, instruction, and or training that goes on in school and outside school to prepare lifelong learners in order to play a role in a variety of living environments right in the future.

Technology in education include every possible means (tools) that can be used to present information in education and training. Ellington (1989) states that technology in education is basically what the educational technology popularized by the name of view of hearing aids (audiovisual aid). Further developed in learning to specific learning goals. Technology in education is a blend of Theoretical Aspects in Education, Hardware Aspects (components that are interdependent but not different from each other) and Aspect Software Perangakat (with respect to the object that is used on the hardware).

2. Utilization of Technology in Education

Pengguanaan technology has been running a long suit and developmental aspects. g. Education is cheap

Usefulness of technology in education Instructional U.S. Commission stated, as follows:
a. increase the productivity of education
b. allows the individualized education
c. provide a more scientific basis to the teaching
d. more established teaching
e. lets learn immediately
f. allows the presentation of further education and equitable luias

In order for the use of educational technology in the right target, then the manager must know the classification of educational technology in education, among them: low-level technology, audiovisual media, format the computer, telecommunications and software technologies.

3. Implementation of Technology in Education
Implementation of technology in education can be seen in the following sectors:
a. Elementary and Secondary Education, the technology is expected to affect an increase in motivation, strengthening teaching, improving environmental psychology in the classroom
b. Higher Education, penggunanan technology is intended to stimulate and motivate students in developing intellectual property so as to develop research and development of both theoretical and applied sciences

c. Distance Learning, provides a media intermediary between students and educational institutions

d. Special Education, serves as a tool for children who had a late aberration

e. Education and Training, directly influence the preparation of an increasingly complex labor to produce skilled manpower

f. In Mathematics Education, this is related to the programs that have been prepared, props and solving problems

g. In Science Education, beruapa application computer programs and systems modeling

h. Language in Education, with regard to writing, listening, telecommunications and others.
